Yesterday was the day I meant to do my blog post. I had plans to talk about how organised I felt, how much I enjoyed organising, my plans for the rest of the year, blah, blah, etc. And then…life happened.
It wasn’t anything bad. In fact, it was a fairly decent day, just nothing quite went to plan.
I wanted to get a bunch of admin work done. I had plans to sort out my newsletter, as well as work on polishing my website, applying final edits (yay!) for The Wooden Rose, plan out some marketing for TWR, and all of those fun things. What actually happened was that I had a nice walk in the morning, so after doing some social media and taking my daily walk, I made lunch. After lunch, all my well-laid plans went wonky.
I got some writing done. And then, just as I was about to start the second half of my writing section, my mum called. That took a good twenty minutes, which is fine, but by that point I was fairly close to my scheduled video call. It was too close to actually do other work, so I sat there until the video call started. Then, after the video call, I had another social media event scheduled, and it was too close to the end of the call to get other work done. Both of these things together meant that my entire afternoon felt like I was waiting around for things to start, but still couldn’t get other work done because of these events and…
It just goes to show that sometimes, even on a good day, the best laid plans can go awry. The fact that I didn’t get all of my work done is not a huge deal. I’ll sort it out today. But it was definitely a strange Thursday. So I shall instead say, my goodness, it’s Friday, and tomorrow I intend to sleep in.
